Fourth Of July Celebrations: Parades, Festivities and Fireworks

River Edge kicks off the Fourth of July with "Music in the Park" on Wednesday, July 3 at 6:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs, picnic baskets and kids to Memorial Park off Continental Ave. and enjoy the music of Jeanie Marri and Soul Finger. This event is sponsored by Costa Engineering. 

The town will host a parade on Thursday, July 4 at 11 a.m. The parade will begin at Cherry Hill School and end at Memorial Park. The Grand Marshall is longtime River Edge resident and volunteer Mary Donohue. The newest addition to the parade is the East Coast Avengers, a Marvel Comic Costumed club.

The parade will be followed by an afternoon of festivities at Memorial Park where there will be rides for the kids, beer and food, music and vendors.

Oradell will kick off its Independence Day celebrations with a parade Thursday, July 4 at 9 am. This annual parade, hosted by the Special Events Committee, will start on Oradell Avenue and end at Memorial Field on Prospect Avenue where there will be ceremonies commemorating America's independence, followed by games, music and refreshments.

There will be a fireworks display on Friday, July 5 at Memorial Field commemorating American Independence and the 100th Anniversary of the Oradell Library. Fireworks will begin at dusk. The rain date is Saturday, July 6.
