UPDATE: River Dell Student Killed in Route 4 Pedestrian Accident

Police say 17-year-old hit by a vehicle near Hackensack Avenue.

A 17-year-old Oradell youth killed on Route 4 late Saturday was a senior at River Dell High School, River Dell Schools’ superintendent confirmed Sunday. The teen, whose name was not released, was fatally struck by a car near Hackensack Avenue around 11 p.m., authorities said.  Officers rushed to a report of a person hit on the highway's westbound lanes and found the teen, police said.
