Third Generation Ophthalmologist Finds Home in River Edge
Dr. Marta Ponce-Contreras opened her new medical office on Main Street this week
After her Elizabeth Street office closed, Dr. Marta Ponce-Contreras knew she wanted to stay in River Edge and continue practicing comprehensive eye care for adults and children. This week, she along with friends and family celebrated the grand opening of her new ophthalmology practice, Eye Care of River Edge. "I love the area and thank everyone for their support," Ponce-Contreras said. The Guatemalan-native turned Ramsey resident is a third generation ophthalmologist following in the footsteps of her grandfather and father. Her brother also follows in the family trade as each generation has spent time at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.
