The third-seeded River Dell Golden Hawks girls volleyball team had little trouble disposing of 14th-seeded Lakeland, in two straight games. A series of errors by the Lancers, including missed balls, miscalculations, and mis-hits, helped River Dell easily defeat them in the first game 25 to 11. Lakeland started strong in the second game but after only 2 points started to lose momentum, repeating errors from the first game. The Hawks easily took control of the game again, thanks to strong teamwork and plays, especially by Katie Brock, junior middle blocker and setter.
