Hit the Streets Running in Memory of Three-Time Marathon Racer

Freedom Bank of Oradell will be one of the major sponsors for the first annual Susan Zabransky Hughes Memorial Run in Saddle River on April 28.

Runners who want to continue competing in a USATF certified course after the River Edge Run can come out and support another good cause when the first annual Susan Zabransky Hughes Memorial Run kicks off on April 28, 8:30am in Saddle River. Hughes, who died from cervical cancer in July 2011 at 46 was a familiar site running through the streets in both Saddle River and Upper Saddle River. She competed in the NYC Marathon three times including in 2006 when she competed to raise money benefitting cancer patients. The USATF certified 5K run, through picturesque Saddle River, is primarily flat and fast. Chip timing will be provided by CompuScore.
