Finding Baklava in the Landscapes of Arizona

Photography exhibit explores southern Utah and northern Arizona

"It looks like a person wearing a hat!" "It looks like baklava!" "Pumpkin chiffon!" A cloud-watching competition? Nope, a slide presentation put on this morning by Teaneck photographer Ray Turkin at the Oradell Public Library.  Turkin worked up the courage seven years ago to retire from his day job so he could focus on his passion: photography.  "There's nothing like doing what you like and actually liking it," he said, explaining that many photographers have to cater to other people's desires, while he has been able to cater almost exclusively to his own.  "I'm lucky," he said.
