Roosevelt also acceptsMore students who would typically attend Cherry Hill Elementary, if class sizes become too big there or the child moved into the district late in the school year. The school offers children a computer lab, library and two athletic fields to complement the educational instruction. Roosevelt School is led by Principal Anthony "Tony" Vouvalides.
New Bridge Center

Following the approval of a school referendum several years ago, the River Edge School District began construction onMore New Bridge Center. New Bridge Center serves the district's kindergarten classes, integrated pre-school classes and three levels of the Building Bridges program.

Kindergarten students have a modified schedule, alternating between a morning and afternoon schedule to allow for both large and small group instruction. Three- and four-year-olds in the integrated preschool program work together to prepare for kindergarten. The Building Bridges program also prepares special education students for integration into regular education classes.

Special Education Region No 5

Special Education Region No 5 is a cooperative between several school districts to coordinate transportation forMore students who may need to attend class outside of their home district.

Region 5 coordinator Maureen Kerne works with school districts. Regularly scheduled conferences are held for teachers and administrators through Region 5.

While the Region 5 main office is located in Oradell, the group of staff members serves the following school districts across Northern New Jersey: Bergenfield, Cresskill, Dumont, Hackensack, New Milford, Oradell, River Dell, Ridgefield, River Edge, Rochelle Park, Teaneck and Tenafly.

Stepping Stone Day Nursery

Stepping Stone Day Nursery offers preschool classes, full-day kindergarten and an after-school program. Children asMore young as two years old can take part in early learning programming, while three- and four-year-olds in preschool focus on the alphabet and numbers.

Kindergarten classes are privately run through Stepping Stone to coordinate with the local school district. Students spend each day learning academics and social skills.

The after-school program is open to Stepping Stone children and students from nearby Cherry Hill Elementary for a social studies curriculum to learn about other cultures, countries and continents.
