A Look at the Week Ahead in River Edge, Oradell

See what's going on in River Edge and Oradell this week.

The River Edge Special Events Committee is meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Public Safety Building.

The River Edge Green Team is meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the Public Safety Building.  

The River Edge Public Library is showing the movie 42 Wednesday from 12 noon to 2:10 p.m. 42 is the story of Jackie Robinson told in this biopic from writer/director Brian Helgeland. Robinson paved a new road for minorities by being the first African-American to play in Major League Baseball since the racial barrier was put in place in the late 1800s. Sponsored by the River Edge Friends of the Library, Friends of the River Edge Library popcorn and a beverage will be served, or bring your own lunch. 
Seating is on a "first come" basis.

The River Edge Zoning Board is meeting Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Public Safety Building. 

The River Edge Recreation Commission is meeting Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Public Safety Building. 

The River Edge Beautification Committee is meeting Thursday at 8 p.m. on the second floor of the Public Safety Building.

The peer-led volunteer job search support and networking group Neighbors-Helping-Neighbors will be meeting in the Meeting Room of the Oradell Library at 1 pm Tuesday. 

The Oradell Mayor and Council will be meeting for a work session Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Borough Hall. 

There will be a Sept. 11 ceremony in front of Oradell Borough Hall Wednesday at 7 p.m.

The Oradell Environmental Committee is meeting Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Borough Hall.
