Oradell Welcomes Newest Eagle Scout Trio

Shuler, Jurasin and Garcia are the newest Oradell Eagle Scouts

At the latest Oradell Troop 36 Court of Honor, the troop welcomed its three new Eagle Scouts to join the "Elite" Boy Scouts most coveted honor. Troop 36 now has a total of 157 Eagles beginning 1925 to present. 

Eagle Scout Michael Shuler:

His Eagle project was to to beautify an open area located west of the Oradell Swim Club. These planters will serve to better the enjoyment of that area for all who visit it. One of the planting boxes dedicated as a vegetable garden that will be maintained by the Oradell Beautification Committee.

Eagle Scout Brandon Jurasin:

His Eagle project was to paint house numbers on curbs with reflective paint to assist police, fire, and EMS in locating specific house addresses. The paint used during this project is designed to stand out at night and in low light situations and will assist in identifying individual houses during emergencies.

Eagle Scout Adam Garcia:

His Eagle project was to clean, refurbish and install an entrance stairway at the Lotus Woods Nature Trail, originally created as an Eagle Service Project by Troop 36 Eagle Scouts Kevin and Kyle Geer. The trail had fallen into severe disrepair since its creation almost a decade ago. Adam’s project makes this path not only usable but enjoyable for all who choose to walk it.

Additionally, Troop 36 has nine more Life Scouts working their way towards Eagle, they are: Daniel Christmann, Dominic Dickson, John Haak, Tyler Kallensee; Adam Kunkel, Korey Loehr, Gregory Rassam, Stephen Shuler, and Stephen Solinas.

The Troop meets each Wednesday at 7:30pm in the basement of . Boys age 10 and up interested in the Scouting program, can walk-in or contact Scoutmaster George Christmann via email.
