I was recently talking to friends that are in the position to hire and they told me that seasonal retail is tough to get for high school kids. They are hiring college kids that are going to local colleges and will sticking around AND need the $$ for school and adults whose unemployment is or has run out. Despite what the media has portrayed about the job market getting better it is still bad out there.
