River Dell Middle School Raises Money for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Two movies were shown to raise money to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.

Students from the River Dell Middle School held a year-end movie fundraiser with the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization devoted to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, and by granting the wish, making a child's dream come true.

The event was planned and organized by the eighth grade Ambassador group. Two movies were shown--The Sandlot, shown outdoors on the lawn “under the stars,” and Wreck-It Ralph, shown in the auditorium. Food and refreshments were sold as well.

The students raised a total of $1041.06, calling the evening a "huge success."
