Snow Delays Chris Christie Town Hall a Second Time

The New Jersey governor's office announced it would again reschedule the public appearance.

Gov. Chris Christie's town hall in Middletown will be rescheduled because of the snowfall in Tuesday's forecast.

The session, which marks the New Jersey governor's first appearance taking questions from an audience since the George Washington Bridge lane closure scandal erupted in January, was previously rescheduled because of another storm.

Christie and members of his administration were expected to discuss the distribution of federal Sandy recovery funds during the town hall at Middletown VFW Post 2179 in Port Monmouth.

Christie's office said it would announce a new date for the town hall on Tuesday.

If Middletown is lucky the so-called town hall won't be rescheduled.

"Impeach Christie..."

We have taken out all his websites that have to do with fundraising. He will not get a dime for at least 2 months. This waiting tactic will not work with us chris. We will not forgive and never forget you piece of corrupt trash. It is time to face the music my brother and find the little piece of humanity still left in you to step down before we truly expose you. You make me sick. anonymous

Looks like old Chris comes up with any excuse not to face the music. His time is up.

^public-takers or left-wing loons. The only people who think he should be "impeached". It's laughable.

Strange. All the Middletown public schools are open (with a slight delay). Can't Christie find the time for us? We have been waiting for so long.

Postponement of the inevitable questions of NJ homeowners who, 16 months after Sandy, are still waiting for the promised state recovery programs, insurance claim payments and straight answers from His Royal Majesty. ==> Clown Hall meeting today postponed -- Governor's "snow job" coming at a later date! Several Gannett newspapers and websites published this editorial... Maybe we'll get some carefully scripted answers at the governor's "town hall" photo opp (if and when it's rescheduled) ==> or Friday at his cabinet commissioner's public hearing, both in Middletown: http://www.thedailyjournal.com/.../OPINION01/302060015/ ==> The 1" dusting in Middletown has already melted this morning, but Christie told his state workers to report later, and his entourage's plane landed OK at Newark from the Puerto Rican vacation. ==> He will have no problem flying off to Utah for another Repub. fund-raiser. ==> What a hypocrite -- What a liar -- What a denier -- What a waste of taxpayers' money!

it seems like the Christie townhall meetings are starting to imitate the philosophy of the Christie administration: the check is in the mail

You can run (oops, meant to say waddle) but you can't hide forever, Governor. Can't wait to see you testify under oath, you big fibber you.

To Gov. Christie, "Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." I sincerely regret voting for you. I should have listened to all of my friends, co-workers and family. Well, the important thing is that I have learned from this major mistake.

All these harsh comments. Please let the man have his day in court. As a personal note to Christie who we all know personally reads these comments while his staff takes care of the work of governing. Just remember why you got into public life. Only in NJ can you have your cake and Edith too.
