Rep. Garrett Accepting Applications for Military Academies

Interested students should contact his office

High school students interested in attending one of the country's prestigious military academies can now submit their requests for recommendation to Rep. Scott Garrett.

Eligible students will be at least 17 and must not have passed their 23rd birthday by July 1.

For each available spot in an academy, ten nominations can be made on a competitive basis. Admissions authorities base their final selections on the nominee's academic record, extracurricular and athletic activities, physical aptitude, leadership ability and medical qualifications.
