Hopefully he can get through this. As for <wearing a black shirt> at night and crossing the highway which is a dangerous move even if you're wearing reflective clothing from head to foot, well I don't get why a few people do this, I just don't get it.

People are really silly and think that they are invincible! What would possess a sane person to dash across a busy highway? And to boot, he had on dark clothing! I have had people step in front of my car while driving because they were simply too lazy to use the crosswalk several feet away. Many times I do not allow them the leeway to continue crossing, especially when they are talking on their cell phone as I will tell them that they are stepping into traffic and to use the crosswalk. Walkers need to obey the rules of the road & should not think that they are entitled to cross the street whereever they please.

It's so sad for the guy who got hit, and especially for the person who hit him! Driving for that person will never be the same!:(

Note to pedestrians stop trusting drivers so much, why have faith in someone to stop in time. Even if you have the right of way guess what if the driver doesn't agree you will lose every time.

Unfortunately he was crossing illegally and did not have the right of way in this incident.
