Letter: Vote Cordts and Cappola, River Edge Council

River Edge resident Ian Doris urges support of Republican slate Paul Cordts and Anthony Cappola for River Edge Council

I am writing to support the candidacy of Paul Cordts and Anthony Cappola for River Edge Council. I have known Paul Cordts for many years and have been very impressed with his work and commitment as a Councilman. As a small business owner and family man, Paul understands from experience the impact local government has on our daily lives. His fiscal responsibility and common sense problem solving have benefitted our Town during his tenure as Councilman.

Anthony Cappola has likewise impressed me with his willingness to serve his community and his genuine concern for the people of River Edge. Anthony also understands from his own business experience the crucial role of government and the important fiscal challenges facing our Town in this current economic climate.

Paul and Anthony understand that good government requires leadership, an ability to listen to people’s concerns, a willingness to work with other leaders for the good of the community, and above all the courage to make tough decisions. Their tenure has been marked by civility and principled leadership. Please join me in voting for Paul Cordts and Anthony Cappola to return strong principled leadership to the River Edge Council.

Paul Cordt's is a dedicated public servant who puts an enourmous amout of time into what, for all intents and purposes, is a thankless job. His understanding of complex problems involving public safety, economics, shared services and consolidation is remarkable and his ability to bring people together to find common denominators is a crucial element in successful governance. River Edge is very lucky to have him and I thank him for his service. Sergeant Michael P. Barry # 195 Port Authority of NY & NJ Police Department (PATH) River Edge resident
