What Should Replace the Empty Lot Between Grove and Lincoln?

Officials hinted that an interested party would like to purchase or lease the borough owned lot

The former yard continue to sit vacant between Lincoln Avenue and Grove Street years after the department moved to its new building on Riverside Way.

While  Superintendent John Lynch had for his office during times of emergency following the lasting effects of Hurricane Irene, he later , stating that his concerns of vandalism and the upset residents outweighed any benefit.

On Monday night, borough officials hinted that they had received two correspondences from an interested party in either purchasing or leasing the lot to create a potential parking lot, although no decision has been made. The borough owns the land after buying it for $130,000.

Currently borough attorney Sam Cereste will be reaching out to the as yet unknown interested party about their intentions for the property at the end of Grove Street which sits behind the .
