River Edge Remembers 9/11

The community gathered to remember the five borough residents lost in when the Twin Towers fell 10 years ago

Jennifer Fialko once said that "Love Lives Here" and those three words never rang truer than they did today - on the anniversary of her death and that of Todd Ouida, Scott Rohner, Christopher Allingham and Bon Seok Koo.

The five River Edge residents were in the Twin Towers when they fell and are honored with memorial stones at the River Edge 9/11 Memorial Gardens next to the public library. This afternoon, the community gathered at the gardens to remember their lives.

Of the five residents, Fialko, Rohner and were all graduates of River Dell Regional, having competed on the athletic field for the Golden Hawks. Their jerseys are hung by the gymnasium as their numbers have been retired. Both Rohner and Ouida were employed by Cantor Fitzgerald while Fialko had just begun working at AON Corp.
