Florida Man Sues River Edge McDonald's Over Spilled Coffee

A 54 year-old Florida man claiming that he suffered serious burns from coffee that spilled onto his lap while dining at the River Edge McDonald's in August 2011 is suing the McDonald's Corporation.  Francisco Rafael Borbolla said that he received second degree burns because a server at the River Edge McDonald's failed to properly secure the lid to his coffee cup, resulting in the hot coffee spilling onto his lap as he sat down at a table, severely burning his genital area. 

River Edge Swears in New Police Officer

Joseph Sanfilippo of Cliffside Park became the newest addition to the River Edge Police Department after being sworn in by Councilman Alphonse Bartelloni at Monday night's Mayor and Council meeting. 

Knights of Columbus Present Community Service Awards to First Responders

St. Joseph's Knights of Columbus New Milford/Oradell recognized first responders from New Milford and Oradell for their community service and presented scholarships to two graduating eighth graders from St. Joseph's School. Police Officers, Fire fighters and EMT's were recognized by the Knight's for their exceptional service to the communities of New Milford and Oradell. 

Oradell Woman's Club Awards Scholarships to Seniors

The Book and Needle Woman's Club of Oradell awarded $4900 in scholarships and awards at the River Dell High School Senior's Awards Ceremony on June 13.  

River Dell Middle School Raises Money for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Students from the River Dell Middle School held a year-end movie fundraiser raising a total of $1041.06, with the proceeds going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is an organization devoted to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses, and by granting the wish, making a child's dream come true.
