This week the Shops at Riverside will be the place to be as the Hackensack mall celebrates women with a Girl's Night Out on Thursday, Oct. 11, 5 to 8pm. The event, presented by Woolite and sponsored by Diet Coke is expected to provide a heavy dose of the four “F’s” – fashion, food, fun and friends.
“It is important for women to enjoy vibrant personal relationships with other women,” said Lisa Bennett, Assistant Vice President of Business Development at Simon Property Group. “We want to promote those relationships at a place they love to be – their local Simon mall.”
Considered the epicenter of hot fashion, the event which will be held on Level One, will offer an abundance of it to choose from on Girl’s Night Out. Guests can meet (201) Magazine Fashion Editor Heather Zwain for a fashion styling event at 7 p.m. in the (201) Lounge, near Louis Vuitton.
Women can strike a pose with their BFFs on the pink carpet in Venture Photography’s Virtual Studio or listen to representatives from Hackensack University Medical Center, New Jersey Women’s Health & Wellness Center and Montvale Health Associates about health and wellness, and a HackensackUMC nutritionist on healthy eating habits and healthy snack options.
The first 200 people to register will receive a free swag bag stuffed with goodies from retailers and event sponsors. The Shops at Riverside will distribute an exclusive mall scavenger hunt map to help guests navigate all the fun and enter to win great prizes, including a pampering package from The Fountain Spa.
A deejay and tarot card reader will provide the evening’s live entertainment, and an array of local businesses, including Beach Bum Tanning, YWCA and Hallak Cleaners, will offer special giveaways, on-site demonstrations and more.
Saks Fifth Avenue will host an in-store Glam Rock Biker Bash from 6 to 9pm and celebrating the launch of the new Stephen Webster Silver Collections.
“At our core, Woolite believes that a single article of clothing can be the difference-maker between a good and a great night,” says Tara Murphy, Marketing Director for Reckitt Benckiser’s iconic laundry detergent brand. “Whether it is that perfect pair of jeans that drew his attention on your first date...or that LBD your girlfriends complimented you on, your clothes are transformative and the emotional connection you have with them is very real. With its celebratory purpose, festive atmosphere and amazing draw, Girl’s Night Out is the perfect venue.”
Additional opportunities include styling and blow-out demonstrations by the staff at Eric Alt Salon; complimentary chair massages and paraffin hand treatments, courtesy of The Fountain Spa; and a heart-pumping Zumba demonstration sure to get you up and moving.
Mocktails and sweet treats will be served and available throughout the evening, as well as food sampling from participating restaurants at The Shops at Riverside.
Attendees at The Shops at Riverside’s will receive limited-edition garments and accessories, pre-washed in Woolite, from five notable designers – Dannijo, Felix Rey, LNA, Laundry by Shelli Segal, and Timo Weiland. These limited-edition garments and accessories will be given away to the first 100 consumers attending Girl’s Night Out, while supplies last.
