Roberto's Pizza Revives Under New Name, Location on Kinderkamack Road

Longtime residents Roberto and Francine Maglocchetti have returned to making pizza at their newest venture, the River Edge Pizza Kitchen

After an eight year break in the pizza business, Roberto and Francine Maglocchetti decided they couldn't stay away any longer. The longtime River Edge residents recently opened the River Edge Pizza Kitchen on Kinderkamack Road two weeks ago.

Taking over the space vacated by Forero's New York Gourmet Pizzeria, the Maglocchetti's are hoping to capitalize on their popularity in town after once owning Roberto's Pizza further north on Kinderkamack Road.

"We closed Roberto's Pizza eight years ago and decided to give things one more shot," Francine Maglocchetti said. "The response has been great since people remember us. We've lived in town for 25 years so we know the community and everyone knows us."

Along with usual pizza kitchen fare like pizzas, pasta and heroes, the Maglocchetti's have also broadened their menu with gluten-free and vegan options for diners to choose from.

"My grandkids have celiac, so we'll cook chicken parm or calamari with corn starch so it's gluten free," Francine said.

Other gluten free items include pasta fagioli, mussells, and garlic bread, while any hero or pasta item can be made guten free.

"We use the best quality ingredients, importing our flour and cheese from Italy," Francine said. "We want people to come in, hang out."

Delivery is available to residents in New Milford, Paramus, Emerson, Oradell, Westwood, River Edge and parts of Hackensack currently. Diners in a rush can pick-up from the Kinderkamack Road pizza kitchen.

The River Edge Pizza Kitchen, 830 Kinderkamack Road, River Edge, is open Monday through Thursday 11am to 9pm; Friday and Saturday 11am to 10pm; and Sundays 12pm to 9pm.
