Realtor.com Donates $50K to Bergen Habitat for Humanity

Realtor.com's "Building Hope Challenge" donates $50K to Bergen Habitat for Humanity's Hurricane Sandy rebuilding project in Little Ferry.

Realtor.com has donated $5,000 through its “Building Hope Challenge” towards Habitat for Humanity of Bergen County’s “Repair. Rebuild. Restore.” Hurricane Sandy rebuilding project in Little Ferry.

Realtor.com chose to support Habitat for Humanity's mission of providing safe and affordable homes. 

“We are committed to assisting all Little Ferry homeowners that fall within our restoration program guidelines, with a focus on homeowners with the most demonstrated need,” said Jacey Raimondo, Habitat Bergen Executive Director.

“We are honored to have been chosen by realtor.com and inspired by the company’s decision to help restore homes and hope to Sandy victims,” she said.

Realtor.com’s ‘Building Hope Challenge’ allowed participants to nominate New Jersey to receive a portion of the donation. Realtor.com worked with Habitat for Humanity International to identify an affiliate in New Jersey active in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts and chose Bergen County's Habitat for Humanity.

"We believe in the work of Habitat for Humanity and support the organization’s mission of providing decent and affordable housing to low-income families,” said Barbara O’Connor, executive vice president of marketing for realtor.com.

"When deciding on an organization to partner with on our ‘Building Hope Challenge,’ Habitat for Humanity was a clear choice," she said.
