To complete his Eagle Project, Oradell Boy Scout Troop 36 member Dominic Dickson put together two different projects to span May and June.
The first part of his Eagle Project was held on Saturday, May 6th when Dickson, his fellow Scouts, friends and Leaders ran a car wash at the Veterans Building parking lot in Oradell, to raise funds for the Project.
Recently on Saturday, June 9, he and his fellow Scouts worked with The Tenafly Nature Center in building a bird watching informational backyard habitat. The project entailed creating the habitat at the Tenafly Nature Center in an area deemed to be ADA compliant. They strung a cable from two trees and hung bird feeders from them.
As part of the project they squirrel proofed the bird feeders, sanitized the existing feeders, made a raccoon proof bird food storage area and had built a customized informative bird watching board.
