Thursday in River Edge, Oradell: Reptile Discovery, Fitness Day at the Zoo, Movie Night at the Pool

Rizzo's Reptile Discovery 7 p.m. at the River Edge Public Library. This program is the grand finale for those who have completed the River Edge Library Summer Reading Club. This reptile and live animal program teaches students of all ages about the preservation of nature – not only seeing with their own eyes, but also with their sense of touch. 

The River Edge Public Library is located at 685 Elm Ave., River Edge.

It's Fitness Day at the Bergen County Zoo with Marla Klein and the Ridgewood YMCA. Activities will take place in the Education Center and Amphitheater throughout the day. 

Meet Marla Klein and staff from the Bergen County Department of Health Services while she teaches about health and nutrition through hands on activities, cooking projects and of course a “ZOO-MBA” class or two. See activities board for times upon entrance to the zoo.

The Bergen County Zoo at Van Saun Park can be accessed from Continental Ave. in River Edge or from Forest Ave. in Paramus.

It's Movie Night at the River Edge Swim Club. The animated Despicable Me will be showing at 8 p.m. Meet Gru, a super-villain, and his minions who try to shrink and steal the moon. With the voices of Steve Carell, Miranda Cosgrove and Jason Segal, this is a family favorite. Despicable Me has a PG rating. 

The River Edge Swim Club is located at 600 Riverside Way, River Edge.
