Roundtrip Buses from New Jersey to DC
In his inaugural address, President Obama spoke boldly about our nation's responsibility to respond to the imminent threat of climate change. If the President intends to take us toward a clean energy future, one that doesn't compromise our access to clean water and good food, then he needs to move away from extreme energy sources and ban fracking, as well as natural gas exports.
Food & Water Watch is teaming up with our allies at Sierra Club and 350.org to mobilize a huge President's Day weekend action in Washington, D.C. We'll send a clear message that his bold words in response to climate change are not enough, he needs to start with action, including the rejection of the Keystone XL pipeline.
We will board the Forward on Climate Paramus bus at
7 a.m. from the Paramus Park and Ride, Exit 165 on the Garden State Parkway (Southwest Lot) for the four hour ride to Washington, D.C.
We will rally on the National Mall and in front of the White House from noon to 3 p.m.
Be sure to bring a lunch, snacks, water, signs and wear comfortable walking shoes.
We will be heading back at 4 p.m. and arriving back in Paramus by 8.pm.
Contact River Edge resident, Charles Brunner of Food & WAter Watch, at (201) 638-1355 who will be a bus captain for this historic event.
