Joan Carbone, the executive director of residence life at Rutgers University, recently announced that under certain circumstances students will be allowed to live with "gender neutral" roommates in three dorms on campus.  Demarest Hall on the College Avenue campus, Rockoff Hall in New Brunswick and New Gibbons on the Douglass College campus will be part of the pilot program this fall.
