The Weekend Guide: 6/22 - 6/24

We made it to the weekend, yahoo!!  And what a fun weekend it is, with the Cupcakefest, Princess Luncheon, Lowes Building Event and much more.

FRIDAY:
Kimmy Schwimmy in Concert 
Kick off the summer with a concert by Kimmy Schwimmy and the Schwimmettes. They will be performing live this Friday at the Paramus Park Mall.

Gymnastics Open Workout 
This open workout is designed to let preschoolers explore the gym and practice their gymnastics skills in an unstructured environment, at their own pace and comfort level. The sessions are supervised and safe.

When: Friday, June 22 | 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Summer Reading Kick-Off Party 
Let Barnes & Noble help you keep your kiddos reading all summer long. Stop by this Friday for their Summer Reading Kick-Off Party: Imagination’s Destination! Kids grades 1-6 who read any eight books and submit a completed journal through September 4 will earn a free book.

State Fair Meadowlands 
This isn’t just any fair, the State Fair Meadowlands is the fairest fair of them all and it opens this Friday, June 22 and runs through Sunday, July 8. Enjoy over 150 rides, games, a live shark tank, pig racing, circus acts & “swamp” food. Your kiddos can even get a ride in the Batcopter and meet Dora the Explorer. 
Where: New Meadowlands Fairgrounds, East Rutherford (next to MetLife Stadium)

SATURDAY: 
Passport to Imagination
Michaels Craft Stores is traveling the globe.  Teaching kids about different countries along the way while making a free craft at each session.  Stop in this Saturday and visit Poland! 
Where:  Michaels, Ramsey or Paramus
When: Saturday, June 23 | 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM 
Cost: FREE 

Lowes Build And Grow
These build and grow clinics are a great way for your kids to build something themselves! Mom or Dad bring your kids to Lowes this Saturday or Sunday and they can build a Madagascar 3 assault vehicle. Sign up ASAP!

When: Sunday, June 24 | 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Gymnastics Open Workout 
Kids 5 years of age and older can practice their gymnastics skills in a supervised, but unstructured environment. They are free to move around the gym from area to area at their own pace.

Cupcakefest 
Don’t miss this all-day concert and festival that will feature a full day of band music, crafters and vendors, yummy cupcakes, and a cupcake eating contest to top off the day. Can you say YUMMY!!!

Princess Luncheon
The Melting Pot, Westwood
Enjoy a royal fondue with your little Princess with a Real Princess.  The Melting Pot is inviting you to an afternoon of fondue with fun and entertainment.  Enjoy lunch, a princess parade, craft and have your little ones picture taken with a princess!  Registration is suggested
