Winter Storm Watch in Effect Through Saturday Afternoon
Several inches of snow are possible, according to the National Weather Service.
The RiverDell area is expected to see its first snowfall since October late Friday night into Saturday.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a winter storm watch for the area with as many as four to seven inches of snow possible and temperatures dipping into the mid-teens. The NWS warns that the potentially dangerous weather conditions and “significant snowfall” may cause “very hazardous travel conditions.”
The winter storm watch continues into Saturday afternoon. Residents are urged to monitor the latest forecasts.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 33. North wind between 9 and 15 mph.
Friday Night: Snow, mainly after 1am. Low around 24. North wind between 3 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
Saturday: Snow, mainly before 1pm. High near 33. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.
Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. North wind between 3 and 7 mph.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. North wind between 6 and 8 mph becoming east.
Sunday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy with a low around 36. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
