Socks is an adult, female black and white/tuxedo cat. She has been at the shelter for almost a full year. Socks may appear to be shy when you first meet her, but all it takes is a hand that wants to pet her and she will start to purr. She will rub into your hand and clearly does not want you to stop rubbing her. She’s a big girl with a big heart. Bergen County Animal Shelter

Hattie, a playful pup came to the shelter as a stray and she was not doing so hot. Fortunately, she has fully recovered and looks and acts quite healthy. Throughout this process, she was amazing with humans and loved the affection she was given. The shelter would love for her adopters to continue this socialization process so she doesn't forget how great human companionship and attention can be. For a 2 year old, she is very active and will need plenty of mental and physical activity: walks, hikes, etc. will be great for energy release and bonding: and basic obedience, manners and structured play would help work her mind.
Timothy is a very sweet guy. He loves to get attention and will meow when people come in the room so they look at him. Timothy is about 7 to 8 months old. He is very playful, loving and an all around great cat.
Sprocket is a whirlwind of a dog. This energetic young pooch came to the shelter as a stray and is just dying for some human companionship. Less than a year old, this herding breed will need a lot of mental and physical exercise. The more her owners work with her, the more balanced she will become. We highly recommend not only agility courses, but to help her release some energy before training so she is able to concentrate on her handler. Walks, hikes, runs, etc. are great ways to speed up the bonding process. Because she is so social, we would like for her adopters to continue socializing her with strangers and new places.
Gabby is a charming 5-year old Siamese who came to the shelter as a stray . She would love a home that will whole heartedly take her in and give her all the love in the world. She will definitely let you know when she is ready for some loving. Vocal and proud of it, Gabby is ready to talk your ear off. She is already spayed and up to date with shots. There is no way she will be at the shelter for long so come adopt her while you have a chance.
