Senior Feline Sisters Weizal and Cat Need a New Home

Weizal, a 13-year old female black cat, was surrendered to the shelter and the staff is doing its best to keep her and her sister Cat comfortable. Because they grew up together, the shelter is looking for a home that would be delighted to take them as a pair. They quite like the company of their human friends and although they are nervous, they still enjoy the attention they've been given so far. Bergen County Animal Shelter

Babe Ruth is a female, adult pit bull terrier, available for adoption. She recently had six adorable puppies. Most of them have found their homes and now it is time to find a home for "momma." Pretty as can be, Babe Ruth is full of life and gumption. There is nothing that can hold this 70-pound youngster back. She takes her walks seriously and will need a firm and confident leader who can provide her with proper guidance and training. Babe Ruth will make a wonderful companion, she just needs to be taught some basic obedience, manners and loose leash training. Because she is young, there is no doubt she will learn fairly quickly, but it will take a lot of patience and a lot of determination.

Honey, a female Shar Pei, came to the shelter with another dog when their owner lost their home. She's very sweet, a calm, laid-back 5 year old who enjoys attention and wants to meet everyone. Because she has lived outdoors, she'll need some work on house training and obedience lessons, but we're sure she'll have fun learning with her new family. Veterinary treatment for her eyes has begun, but her adopter will need to follow up with their own vet. Honey is waiting for that special family that will let her live indoors with them and give her the attention she craves.

Barely a year old, ChiChi, a Terrier/Chihuahua mix, is one social butterfly who will need a lot of training and a lot of love. The shelter is looking for an experienced household to show him the ropes and guide him in the right direction. Because he is quite the energetic pup, little children may be intimidated by him so the shelter does not recommend him in a home with young kids. But, like any puppy, ChiChi is just looking for a strong leader who can lead him into a more stable, fun adulthood. He will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation.

Cat, also 13 years old like her sister Weizal, is an oldie but a goodie. The shelter is looking for a home for both as they grew up together.
