Saying Farewell to OPS Principal Scott Ryan
Ryan will hold "open office hours" next week before he officially retires from the district
After two decades with the Oradell School District, Principal Scott Ryan's career is coming to an end on September 1 as he officially retires from the K-6 district.
As such, he will be holding "open office hours" on Thursday, August 30, 9am to 11am and 1pm to 3pm for students and residents to stop in and say goodbye before his final day.
Ryan, whose retirement was not initially expected before the start of the 2012-13 school year, led to the creation of a dual Superintendent/Principal role for incoming superintendent Anne Facendo.
As part of his farewell, the Oradell Board of Education is asking current and former students and family members with any pictures or well wishes for Ryan to send them to Oradell Public School, care of Board of Education, 350 Prospect Avenue in Oradell.
Ryan will be honored by the district for his years of service at the September Board of Education meeting.
