Bank Robber Takes off with Undisclosed Cash Amount from River Edge Bank
River Edge Police along with County police responded to a bank robbery at Hudson City Savings Bank on Main Street
This Wednesday afternoon, units from the River Edge Police Department, Bergen County K9 and Bergen County Sheriff's Crime Scene Unit responded to a possible bank robbery at Hudson City Savings Bank on Main Street, according to police.
The alleged suspect, described as a 6'0" dark skin male entered Hudson City Savings at 11:30am wearing a brown hooded jacket, glasses and material covering the lower portion of his face, according to River Edge Police Chief Thomas Cariddi.
"The man presented a note with specific instructions to the teller for money," Cariddi said. "He was last scene heading westbound on Main Street on foot."
The Bergen County K9 unit searched the surrounding area following the robbery. An investigation is currently ongoing.
