The day after Thanksgiving—“Black Friday”—unofficially marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season.
Area stores, shopping centers and malls often open well before dawn that day. People form lines outside of stores and shopping malls in places like Paramus and New York City in the middle of the night.
While these stores are often the most popular to shop at, have the most amount of merchandise to pick from, and offer sales unseen at other times during the year, small businesses may also offer a lot for shoppers on that day and throughout the holiday shopping season.
Do you plan on visiting any local, River Edge or Oradell businesses on Black Friday? How about during the rest of holiday shopping season? If so, which ones? Weigh in on what your holiday shopping plans are—not only for gift giving, but also for food and other holiday necessities—in the poll and the comments below.
