The River Edge Recreation Commission will host spring programs for children age 3-5 years  through the US Sports Institute professional coaching staff.  All seven sessions of each program take place in River Edge Veterans Memorial Park. Register now for T-Ball Squirts, Soccer Squirts or Sports Squirts.

T-Ball Squirts is a great way to introduce young boys and girls to the exciting games of baseball and softball. Core components of the game- throwing – hitting – pitching – catching – base running – fielding  are taught through a series of games and activities to capture the imagination of all players.  

Soccer Squirts is a program of structured activities and fun based games while developing motor skills. The 7 sessions will feature movement with the ball, changing directions, changing speeds, passing, control, shooting and spacial awareness.

Sport Squirts is a bunch of different sports allowing children to experience a new sport during each week of the program. Participants will sample lacrosse, soccer, hockey, basketball, t-ball, parachute games and more with particular focus on hand/eye coordination, movement and balance
