This loving 97-pound, 7 year old male Rottweiler named JoJo came to the shelter when his owner surrendered him because he had to move and couldn’t take him along. JoJo deserves a loving and understanding home at his tender age. Although he is not a golden oldie, he is an older adult, and with any middle-aged dog comes more frequent vet visits but don’t let them stop you from meeting this handsome fellow. He is smart and energetic and will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation, ranging from long walks to obedience training. He will need a confident leader to provide him with a strong and stable routine. Because he can be quite intimidating to young children, the shelter seeks a home without young children. Choco, is a five year old Shih Tzu who was brought to the shelter by her owners who were moving and could not take him a long. Although she is wary of strangers she has come around and shows signs of bonding with shelter staff. Once she warms up she is a happy gal who loves affection. The shelter recommends walks and hand feeding and basic obedience training may be a great way to build a relationship as well.
