Golden Hawks Host Learning Clinic on the Ice
The River Dell/Westwood co-op team recently spent the afternoon with future team members

This past Sunday, February 12th, a group of 27 potential River Dell/Westwood high school ice hockey players from fifth through eighth grade came together for a learning clinic.
River Dell High School Head Coach Brian Sharkey and current team members Ryan Callahan, Bryan Codner, Mark Schaefer, Zach Rosenoff, Jason Conroy, Brendan O'Sullivan, Chris Detitta, Rich Myers, Matt Candrilli and Kyle Marshall contributed their time and effort to make the clinic instructional and fun.
The clinic was offered through the Westwood Recreation Department in cooperation with the Oradell, River Edge and Washington Township Recreation Departments.
Clinic participants as well as fellow students are invited to attend the next River Dell High School games;
- Friday, February 17th vs Bayonne at 5:35 pm at the Ice House in Hackensack
- Sunday, February 19th vs Paramus Catholic at 5:30 pm at The Ice Vault in Wayne
Plans are being made to hold future clinics and to form a team to play in a house league in Hackensack. For more information, contact the Westwood Recreation Department by calling 201-664-7882.
