Meatball is a small pit bull terrier. As you can see in her photo she is all ready for the holidays with her costume. All she needs is a family. Happy and full of life, Meatball is a dog you'll just HAVE to have as a family member. At 2-3 years old, this energetic youngster will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Not only will she be a great running partner, but this pretty lady will be the life of the party. Outgoing and social, Meatball loves to introduce herself to just about anyone. The only thing she needs improving is her manners. Because she tends to become a bit too excited, she doesn't know how to control her energy and becomes a living, breathing pogo stick. She is only 30lbs; a small little girl. Meatball has become a volunteer favorite and has learned commands; sit and stay. She looks to her handler for direction. She has come a long way since she first arrived. Pet ID # 86075 Bergen County Animal Shelter

Milford is a very sweet guy. He is one of our older cats. Milford is sad at the shelter and usually stays in the way back of his cage. He is a very gentle guy. Milford is about 10 years old. Pet ID 86818.
Gilbert, an American Eskimo dog, did not come to the shelter in the best condition. Dirty and matted, Gilbert seems to have lacked the love he deserved considering his breed's needs. Socialization will be key when Gilbert is taken home. It’s recommended he be allowed to adjust to his new home before overwhelming him with unfamiliar places and people. With more love and care, he will undoubtedly blossom into a more confident and balanced adult. Walks and hand feeding are great ways to help build a stronger relationship between him and his new family. He will need a calm home who can provide him with good structure and a stable routine. A home without young children is preferred. Pet ID # 87299
Lala is a Beagle mix who is little on the shy side. This sweet girl will need some time to build trust with her new family. She has definitely shown major improvements since her stay at the shelter, but this cutie will require your help and patience to adjust. Her former owners only had her for about 2 months so not much about her past is known but the focus is on her future. The more time she is given to acclimate to her new home, the more balanced and healthy she will feel. Adorable and full of energy, she warms up quite nicely if given the opportunity. Allow her to climb in your lap and she will be your best bud for life. PET ID # 87144
Nathaniel is a sweet boy. He is about 6 years old. Nathaniel loves attention and willl make a great addition to any household. Pet ID: 86894
