Mooks is a precious senior, black lab who came to the shelter because his owner couldn't care for him any longer. At the tender age of 8, this big guy still has a lot of vigor and life left in him. Physical and mental stimulation will be in order. Walks are a great way to release some pent up energy, and can also aid in the bonding process. Mooks is currently on a course of antibiotics for Lyme disease. He is a huge mush who will undoubtedly feel at home in no time. Mooks does not like to be in his kennels and barks to get out. When he is outside, he is very quiet and easy to walk. Bergen County Animal Shelter

Rodney is a little bit scared living in the shelter. He is a very talkative cat. We think when he keeps on talking he is saying "Let me out". Rodney is making progress on coming out of his very shy ways. He is about 1 to 2 years old.
Snoopy is a one-year-old Poodle mix is quite content with being on his own. But once he realizes the pleasure of human company, he will accept anything that comes his way. Snoopy was given to the shelter by his owners because they were moving and were unable to take him along. This handsome fellow will need plenty of time to adjust to his new home so the shelter asks adopters not to overwhelm him with introductions until he is ready. The more his handlers work with him, be it hand feeding, walks, training, etc, the more he will come out his shell and learn to trust his new family.
This poor girl seems like she has been through a lot. At 3-years-old, Trixy seems very confused and anxious due to her current situation. The shelter staff is trying their best to calm her down, but she will unfortunately, have to be able to do so on her own. Her family surrendered her because they were moving and were unable to bring her along. There is some hope for this sweet gal since she shows minimal signs of bonding. Hopefully, the more people reassure her and provide her with a sense of safety and security, the more she will learn to trust and come out of her shell.
Krackle is a sweet guy. He gets along well with the other shelter kittens. Krackle is about 10 weeks old. He will be neutered before leaving the shelter.
