John V. Juliana, a 50-year resident of River Edge, passed away on Friday, July 27 at the age of 80. 

Born and raised in Newark, he was the first-born son of John and Elda (Brune) Juliana. For 36 years he worked as the Director of Traffic Administration in the corporate office of CBS-Sony Music in New York City. In 1996 he retired, spending time between his two homes in River Edge and Sea Girt. 

Mr. Juliana was a dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Upon retiring, he pursued his passions of custom woodworking, fishing, gardening, Italian cooking, and enjoying the company of family, friends, and most especially his grandchildren. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Gloria (Boffi) Juliana, son David John Juliana and his wife Claire, daughter Suzanne Monique Juliana-Inouye and her husband Masayuki, and sister Veronica Juliana. He also has six grandchildren: Gabriella, Camille and Jack Juliana, and Dante, Isabella and Giovanna (Gia) Inouye. 

He is predeceased by his parents, John and Elda Juliana, and his two brothers, Walter and Felix.
