The River Edge Volunteer Fire Department is asking residents to donate unwanted clothing (in wearable condition) to help families who are victims of fire. Donations can be left in the clothing bin next to Fire Company One, across the street from Borough Hall.
Some clothes from the bin will also help fund the NJ / NY Firefighter's Association Scholarship, which awards scholarships to active firefighters and their children of college age.
