Christopher J. Donfield of Washington Township died on Dec. 21. A native of Cliffside Park, he had been the longest-serving faculty member at Bergen Catholic High School. Donfield was an English teacher, basketball coach and guidance counselor at the school from 1960 until his retirement in 2006. His funeral was held at the Church of St. Joseph in Oradell.
