Bonim, under the auspices of the Synagogue Leadership Initiative, works inpartnership with Habitat for Humanity to improve the community through projects aimed at addressing the significant problem of the lack of affordable housing options in northern New Jersey. It utilizes volunteers from across all movements of the Jewish community in building or renovating residences throughout the greater region.
